In
Nov. 2004, I was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives as a
Democrat. It has been a tremendous honor and pleasure to serve as
a Citizen Legislator. I
was particularly pleased that I was able to co-sponsor legislation that
was passed into law, and to influence many provisions that affect the
everyday lives of Vermonters. Making
life better for my community was a value instilled in me by my
family. They
taught me about responsibility, and about Tikun Olam, which is Hebrew
for "Repairing the World." I took that task to heart. I
also served as President of the Stop AIDS
project, a $1.7 million organization that uses community-based
organizing
to help save lives.
After earning an MBA from Stanford, I founded a small business called Aplomb Consulting. We strengthen nonprofit organizations and healthcare clinics by providing strategic planning, fundraising, and other vital services. |
